Cassie Comer
Cassie Comer is a senior at Michigan State University (MSU) pursuing a degree in communication leadership and strategy.
Prior to joining the Bellwether team, Cassie worked as a multimedia reporter for the State News. In this role, she expanded her event photography experience, strengthened her AP style knowledge, and gained hands-on experience collaborating with MSU and community organizations to produce accurate and engaging news stories.
In her free time, Cassie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, photography, and binge-watching feel-good early-2000’s TV series.
Hometown: Eaton Rapids, Michigan
Favorite part of working at Bellwether PR so far: I love being part of a team that pours the same care into each other as they do into helping their clients make a real difference throughout Michigan and beyond. I’m excited to grow my public relations skillset with this talented group of professionals!
What she loves most about Michigan: The Great Lakes, especially the beautiful beaches along Lake Michigan’s coast!

Meredith O’Donnell
Meredith O’Donnell is a senior at Michigan State University, majoring in public relations and minoring in business.
Before joining the Bellwether team, Meredith worked as a social media intern for Glitter Magazine and SociallySteph LLC. While traveling abroad with MSU’s Advertising and Public Relations Program, she attended the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity and learned about media cultures across Europe. Throughout these experiences, Meredith has curated social media copy, developed graphics, and tailored messages to fit diverse audiences and media landscapes.
Outside of her career, Meredith enjoys yoga and physical fitness, watching reality TV, and spending time with friends and family.
Hometown: Naperville, Illinois
Favorite part of working at Bellwether PR so far: Contributing to meaningful conversations and working for coalitions that aim to better the Lansing community.
What she loves most about Michigan: Michigan is my home away from home! All my favorite people live in Michigan; everyone is so kind and people-oriented.
