Adam Bitely brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications, public policy, digital marketing and political advertising and messaging to Bellwether Public Relations. Having worked for six years in the Michigan Senate, where he served as digital media director for the Senate Republicans, Adam joined Bellwether Public Relations where he leads strategic communication planning for his clients.
Adam’s experience in the public policy arena has contributed to award-winning work for the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association, helping them to elevate the need for increased funding to fix Michigan’s roads. His efforts have also been recognized in helping to organize the successful Michigan EITC Coalition, which after many years of hard work, increased Michigan’s earned income tax credit from 6% to 30% in March of 2023. Adam also leads strategic communications, earned media support, social media strategy, and coalition building efforts for Michigan Future, Inc., the Michigan Alliance for Student Opportunity, the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and more. He has worked on many policy issues including education, health care, infrastructure, and placemaking.
Prior to joining Bellwether Public Relations, Adam has worked on political campaigns at all levels, from county offices to presidential campaigns – and everything in between. In 2018, he oversaw the digital campaign efforts for the Michigan Senate Republicans and played a key role in developing messaging and strategy for the caucus during the election cycle.
Prior to making Michigan home in early 2015, Adam lived in Alexandria, Va., where he worked with political organizations on developing their digital presence. Adam attended George Mason University where he studied economics and government.
